Yesterday I was reading on article about Warren Buffet giving his three kids $1 billion. We can learn many lessons from this article.
Warren Buffet is a great investor, but when it comes to helping the needy, he is relying on his kids and Gates foundation.
This also tells that Buffet is not keen on getting credit for his contribution, this should be the nature of true GIVER.
Read article – http://tinyurl.com/nc95ws

Nature gives back what one is supposed to receive, and we have to accept what we receive. We just have to keep giving as our strength permits, it need not be in terms of money. We have only 24 hrs in a day, but supposing five people team up, same thing is 120 hrs in a day – and as these five people think differently but with same underlying philosophy output is enormous!
Yesterday I was listening to the webinar of B1G1 (www.b1g1.com), Masami Sato another great giver says it is better to choose one cause on which can work rather than many causes without focus.
Masami also shared the same point that giving need not be money, it can be in various ways. B1G1 is a great organization, it has put various causes in front of us, so that we can choose easily the one which synchronizes with our passion.

Just like we need regular massage to our body, we also need regular massage to mind too. To much of information clutters and makes it unable to process information correctly. We can do multi-tasking but if we do not calm down, relax, stress over powers and makes us mad. Engage yourself spiritually, go and stand in front of a water fall, or a ocean, listen to soothing music. Meditate on nullity.

I was told that Mac does not need cleaning up as it is linux based. After one year of usage I was having a irritating spinning wheel issue.
Last week I cleaned up my macbook pro using ONYX (Thanks to ONYX), now it is working faster and smoother. I thank ONYX, unlike defragment and scandisc program on Windows, cleaning up mac was faster and easier – few clicks and a restart.

Cleaning up house and office is also equally important. Everyday new papers flow in to the office, we purchase new items and clothing. If we do not regularly clear old things, beauty of new things is lost.

It is also important to get rid of old things and replace them with new things. Old people die, new people are born. Old models are discontinued, new models with better performance are released in the market. If we keep using old equipment, their performance deteriorates day by day and at some point their value become zero. Instead once it reaches certain point, we can sell it and replace with new item. Unfortunately we cannot do this with our bodies, yet clean up and maintain it properly so that it continues to perform at its peak.

By Deltina Hay (c) 2009
Following the advice of social media and Web 2.0 experts, you have established your own blog and joined a number of social sites, including Facebook, MySpace, LinkedIn, Twitter, YouTube, Flickr, Library Thing, and Upcoming.org, among others. Now, the experts say you must add content to each of these accounts regularly to keep them dynamic. So, how’s this supposed to make your life easier? Relax. With some careful planning, you can streamline the process of keeping all of your Social Web accounts fresh and engaging without breaking your back or the bank. The trick is to make your social accounts work together. Most social sites use the concept of open source to make it easy for developers to write applications that enhance the features of the site. For our purposes, we will look at applications that can help us streamline our existing presence in the Social Web.

To demonstrate what I mean about streamlining the process, I’ll start with an example. Imagine that you have the following social media tools and accounts already in place on the Social Web:

WordPress Blog

Facebook Profile

Facebook Page

MySpace Page

YouTube Account

Flickr Account

Twitter Account

Upcoming.org Account

GoodReads Account

Your 6 Step Plan to a Streamlined Social Web Presence

Step 1: Optimize Your Blog Feed The very first step in streamlining your presence in the Social Web is burning your blog’s feed to Feedburner (http://www.feedburner.com). This is a free service, and obtaining a FeedBurner account will help you to easily manage and track your feed subscriptions. Once you have burned your feed to FeedBurner, note the URL of your new feed, which will look something like this: http://feeds.feedburner.com/MyBlogName.

Step 2: Feed Your Blog Now You want to make sure that you are getting the most mileage from your blog posts. To do so, feed your blog entries into all of your social accounts that offer blog feeding applications. Remember that each social site may provide its own different way of accomplishing this. Facebook, for example, allows you to feed your blogs into the Notes section of your Facebook page. Click Edit in the Notes box of your Facebook page and find the option that allows you to import notes from an external blog. Feeding blog entries into MySpace is a little different. Find and add the application RSS Reader. You can access many MySpace applications by clicking More/Apps Gallery from the main menu of your MySpace homepage. It is possible to feed your blog posts into Twitter, but blog posts are typically too long for this purpose. If you read on, I will clue you in to a better solution for streamlining your micro-blog entries.

Step 3: Maximize the Use of Your Multimedia Maximize the exposure of your images and video clips by adding galleries and badges to your blog or Website, and by feeding your images and videos into your social networking profiles and pages. WordPress has many plugins available for integrating Flickr images. My favorite right now is Flickr Tag (http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/flickr-tag/), a plugin that allows you to easily place your Flickr images right into your blog posts, and create galleries. A Flickr badge is a snippet of Flash or HTML code that you can place on the sidebar of your Website or blog that will pull in and highlight random or specific photos from your Flickr account. Find out more by going to: http://www.flickr.com/badge.gne. Similarly, you can embed video galleries into your blog or Website by using your YouTube channels. After you’ve added videos to your YouTube channel, you can generate code for a video gallery and place this code on your Website or blog. To feed images from Flickr into your Facebook page and MySpace profile, find the appropriate application and add it. For Facebook, I use an application called My Flickr (http://apps.facebook.com/myflickr/); for MySpace, use Happy Flickr. You can place videos on your Facebook page by implementing an application called YouTube Box (http://apps.facebook.com/videobox/), and using the application YouTube Favorites, you can display video clips on your MySpace profile.

Step 4: Integrate Other Social Tools The way in which you proceed in step 4 depends entirely upon which social tools and Websites make up your Social Web presence. In the example I have created, we have accounts with Upcoming.org (a social event calendar) and GoodReads (a niche book sharing and author site) that have not yet been integrated. By searching the applications in Facebook and MySpace, you’ll find that Facebook offers an application that allows you to integrate your Upcoming.org events, and both Facebook and MySpace include applications that allow you to display your GoodReads books and book reviews.

Step 5: Take Advantage of Streamlining Tools Using the social tool, Ping.fm, you can add short posts to your mini feeds on Facebook, MySpace, and your micro-blogging sites like Twitter and Jaiku. Ping.fm (http://ping.fm) is a useful tool that lets you post one brief entry, or often a status update, and feed it into a number of social sites.

Step 6: Research and Repeat The very nature of the Social Web is connecting people through social platforms and applications; therefore, when deciding whether or not to invest time and resources into a new social tool, it’s best to research the ways that tool will accommodate your existing Social Web presence. Can you feed in your blog posts? Does it allow you to import images from a photo sharing site or video clips from from your video sharing community? Have sites like Ping.fm integrated the new tool yet, or do your existing social sites offer applications to integrate the new tool? When you do decide to integrate a new social tool or Website, do so as best you can by repeating the applicable steps presented above.

(Deltina Hay is the principal of Social Media Power, and founder of the new social media Website service (http://www.plumbsocial.com), Plumb Social. Ms. Hay’s graduate education in computer science, applied mathematics, and psychology led her naturally to social media consulting (http;//www.socialmediapower.com). Her new book, A Survival Guide to Social Media and Web 2.0 Optimization, will be released in March 2009.)

“Everyone wants to pitch you on their “NEW!” “JUST LAUNCHED!” “FREE!” business opportunity. Wait for few days, if the business is not “exploded,” move on to next available. Yesterday, it was this business, today it’s that, tomorrow it will be another.” Do you know where these people fit on Wealth Dynamics Profile?

If someone is doing above, we extra ordinary people know what to do.

We can easily say that it is a WRONG way to build a business. ” The MOST effective way to create a successful business is to choose one business as your main business. Make a commitment to it that you will sink or swim with it. Then, if you need to, also choose a supporting business to go along with your primary business.” and further do the wealth profile, and find out how to take it forward.
To learn more take the wealth profile – http://www.xlwealthdynamics.org/?r=w0zoiacj

Lot of people entered MLM, looks lucrative, but as it takes time to get returns they end up in giving up or find the next door which looks lucrative until you jump in! I am sharing with few points which I learnt from my friend.

#1 It’s a game, have fun! Don’t over sell the product. If you don’t love the product, don’t try to sell. More you enjoy and feel about the product, easier it is to sell.

#2 Sell and Market at every Opportunity - Sell the product and be prepared to provide all kinds of information right on the spot rather than inviting them for some event about the product. Don’t over sell, remember lot of others have already approached them.

#3 Develop a relationship - Important is to develop a relationship rather then seeing them as customer. MLM is not one time business, you want them to buy life long and then become your downline sales man.

#4 It’s not about money - Everyone wants the to earn more, even the richest of the richest. But the secret is don’t over emphasize and focus on money part. If people love the product they buy it!

#5 Understand other person and sell the way they like it - Why we buy a product because it is the way we want it to be. Try to learn and listen to the other person. Tune in to his frequency and introduce the product, rather than trying to sell the way they thought you. Think that everyone is a unique buyer.

These are few points, I am sure there are many more, and some experienced people might add…. thank you. Enjoy!!

Jun 26, 2008

The Law of Attraction is a tool to help you guide your thoughts into a better feeling place by providing an understanding that your are an energetically vibrating being. Science has been telling us that we are all made up of energy, and that energy in the Universe is neither created nor destroyed. It’s just changing in form. So, the condensed version of all this is that we are all one and we are all made up of this same vibrating energy. This has been an important lesson for me because when I see someone who would have made me angry or offended, I realize that I must have been vibrating in a certain place to attract that person into my life and I must have had some of that within me somewhere!

I would like to talk about why the Law of Attraction is not just positive thinking. Yesterday I was handed a large serving of Contrast. Something happened that did NOT feel good to me. People who know me sometimes think that because I consciously apply the Law of Attraction into my life that unpleasant things don’t happen to me, but that’s not true. I am much happier than I used to be and when I do take an emotional dip, it’s relatively easy now to guide myself into feeling better and it just keeps getting easier. With the Law of Attraction, I now have tools that I didn’t have before to be able to do something about the bad feelings when I do feel them. What the Law of Attraction gives you is control over your life and your feelings, which is really, YOUR LIFE!

The message of the Law of Attraction is much more than to be completely happy and positive all the time. First of all, this is not possible, because we are human. We are supposed to feel the Contrast in order to help us to create more deliberately and with more desire. Contrast is what makes life interesting and all of the variety helps us all to create more amazing things in areas such as the arts and the sciences. Using the Law of Attraction helps you to have more awareness of our emotions which gives us conscious control over our life experiences. We can choose to make things feel better, OR we can choose to let our feelings, “spiral”. When you let negative feelings take over and spiral out of control into more negativity, you are using the Law of Attraction reactively and it will bring you more negative results.

The goal is to learn to guide your feelings to relief. When you go from a bad or negative feeling vibration to a feeling that gives you relief, that feeling of relief is telling you that you are going in a positive direction, which means you are moving to more positive, (or even just a less negative) feeling. When you do this, you change the momentum of the Law of Attraction, which means that you have the power to stop the “negative spiraling” that can happen to all of us.

It is quite important to recognize that the Law of Attraction is NOT just about positive thinking. Trying to “think positive” all the time, no matter what, just makes you mask and stuff the true emotions you are FEELING for the sake of thinking you are trying to do this “perfectly.” If you just try to be positive and happy all of the time, you will probably end up a deliberate Law of Attraction dropout. You can’t really “drop out” of using the Law of Attraction, because it’s always at work in your life whether you believe it or not, but you can “drop out” of using it to purposefully create your life. When you try to fake being happy or positive, it just makes you FEEL bad. Honestly, can’t you tell when someone is being “fake happy?” If you do feel bad or sad about some situation, doesn’t it just FEEL worse to deny that you actually FEEL those FEELINGS? Of course it does! Pretending that you don’t FEEL bad may work for about one minute, But pretending you aren’t feeling any bad feelings doesn’t stop the Law of Attraction from matching you up with the same negative vibration that you’re offering because you really do FEEL bad on the inside. Because even though you’re pretending to feel good, to feel happy, you’re not being authentic when you do this. And by pretending, and masking and stuffing your feelings instead of deliberately accepting and guiding them, you are taking away the control and power you have over your life.

By Kelly Robbins
Jun 27, 2008

Positioning your business to be self-sufficient

Whether you’re a sole practitioner or a very small employer, many home business owners are personally involved in almost all aspects of their business, and find that almost every spare minute is spent thinking about work, even on vacations or while doing errands.

Here’s a challenge to all of you home business owners: Take a moment to stop and evaluate your business to determine if you could possibly sell it. Does your business have value to others without you physically being there to work every day? If not, adding that extra value to make your company more sellable in the future is a wise business decision.

This is especially true if you sell your services exclusively by the hour or by the project — if you’re not working, you’re not making any money. Some of us can’t take two weeks off for a vacation, because nothing happens when we’re not there. Wouldn’t it be great if this weren’t such a concern? Planning for the long term, what if you were to get sick or decide to retire? Your ability to sell what you’ve worked so hard to create is an important facet of growing your small business.

My challenge to you is to brainstorm ways you can earn money without being physically involved in every transaction. Here are some ideas that can bring in money while you’re on the beach in Hawaii:

–Turn the service you already provide into a product. For example, if you are a masseuse, you could write a book or pamphlet teaching couples how to massage each other, or put together a promotion on massage techniques for the office place. Transform your expertise into something tangible, such as a videotape or book, that you can market online or sell in retail outlets.

–Sell audiotapes of seminars you conduct. This can be an item you add to your online portfolio, or you can sell these in a package with other products you develop. Either way, they are a way to add income to your revenue stream without you having to put time into selling each and every one.

–Make an outline of the steps you go through with clients when starting a project and market it as such. This may be in the form of a booklet or pamphlet, or even a book. Many prospects may not have the money to purchase your services outright. Others may simply not have confidence in you to spend a high dollar amount. Selling what you do in smaller pieces can be a great way for prospects to try you out, gain trust in you, and then work their way up to higher priced, more complicated services you work on individually with them. It’s also a smart way to add revenue to your bottom line, without straying far from your core business.

–Build your client list/marketing database. This is valuable if you are in a niche market. If you have successfully targeted a particular market, a company may buy your company simply to break into that market. It’s often easier to buy a successful company that already exists than to build one from scratch.

–Position your business to be sold to a large company. Does it fix a problem or fill a whole in their services? Often it’s easier and faster for big companies to buy the technology outright than to hire the experts needed to re-create the wheel. The key is to specialize in an area others don’t, find something tangible to sell, and then offer to sell it.

The object of this exercise is to get you to evaluate the very basics of how you do business. Look towards the future. While you may be enjoying the work you’re doing currently, that may change. And wouldn’t you like a well-deserved — and paid — break from time to time know and you’re still making money? Prepare yourself and your business by ensuring it can survive independently of you.

Can you remember the last resolution you made, let alone kept? Personally, I can only recall one. I resolved to stop drinking soda when I was eleven years old. Now, I ate an average of one hot dog daily and wasn’t an exceptionally health conscious kid, so I’m not sure what exactly inspired me that winter. That small change though is something I am forever grateful I made. The cumulative effects of 17 years without soda are anything but small.

This might be the first article you’ve read that encourages you to downgrade your goals and aspirations for the New Year. By now we’ve all heard that the secret to success lies in thinking big and clarifying goals. If there’s any chatter in your brain about letting this year’s resolution slip, you may be thinking too big. Are the 10 percent of us that keep resolutions a hardier breed, or do they just know how to focus on something that feels within reach? My no soda resolution felt small at the time because I wasn’t depriving myself of something I loved, nor was I taking on the world and committing to work I wasn’t willing to do.

Think about a single area of your life that you want to improve. If it’s health, does a daily workout feel exhilarating or exhausting, or just plain impossible? Can you instead, eat one more homemade meal per week, or take the stairs at work?
If it’s your home, how does “getting organized” feel, especially if you’ve been cluttered for years? Can you simply commit to clearing off the dining room table each night or opening mail as soon as it comes in the door?
If it’s your finances, how does “make x amount of dollars” feel when you wince at the balance in your checkbook? Can you start to track your spending, or set a small amount of money aside every month?

Reducing your vision to a single activity that you can realistically conquer every day isn’t lazy, it’s the only place to start. The trickle down effects will astound you. Until your loftiest goals are translated into empowering actions that you can master, there will always be a healthier, wealthier, more organized version of you always waiting to debut the next New Year.

Procrastination is something we all are guilty of at times, but with some people it can be a way of life. They would rather have a root canal without painkillers than to hear the words DO IT NOW! A procrastinator’s creed might be one or all of the following:

1. I firmly believe if I ignore something long enough it will cease to exist.
2. Anything worth doing is worth doing later.
3. If at first you don’t meet a deadline, don’t worry about it. There will always
Be another month.
4. I will never put off until tomorrow what I can forget about forever.
5. I will never do anything immediately, unless it is to find a better excuse
Than the one I am using now to avoid work.

There are many reasons people choose to procrastinate. The perfectionist gets caught up in the inconsequential details of his project and loses sight of the end result. Passive-aggressive people don’t feel competent and in control of their lives, so they constantly arrive late to work, miss project deadlines, or are late for dinner or social gatherings so they can get the attention of and irritate others. The depressed procrastinate by talking themselves into waiting to start a project until they “feel like it.” The escape artist finds creative ways of avoiding unpleasant tasks, and the “rebel without a cause” likes to put things off because it frustrates his co-workers and boss. The list is endless.

In my opinion, people procrastinate for one basic reason: They fear failure. Their fear is disguised by a long list of excuses as to why they can’t seem to get going on whatever it is they are supposed to be doing. When a dedicated procrastinator is in full operational mode there is no end to the problems and roadblocks that emerge for him or her. Each newfound roadblock or problem procrastinators discover is their immediate justification for doing nothing that really matters. When a person starts taking direct action to accomplish a goal or objective, he places himself in jeopardy. When action is initiated, a timeline begins that success can be measured against. If a procrastinator can avoid taking direct action, he seems to believe it will help him avoid being measured or held accountable. You can probably make a good case that procrastinators have a certain amount of laziness about them. I would probably agree. But laziness itself represents a fear of failing, or for some people it might be a fear of success. Let’s look at both.

Fear of failure

Do you get up every morning and say, “I want to fail today”? Of course you don’t, but sometimes the fear of failure paralyzes people and keeps them from even trying to succeed. One thing for sure is that if you don’t even make an attempt to succeed—YOU WILL FAIL! So what are some of the things your teammates could be afraid of? They could fear:

1. Losing the sale
2. Being embarrassed
3. Looking foolish
4. Being told no
5. Losing the company money
6. Losing friends
7. Getting fired
8. Losing the respect of management

Fear of success

Like fear of failure, you certainly don’t get up every morning and say, “Today I will fear success!” Then why would people fear success?

1. They might not think they deserve to work on an important project, which may cause them to do everything subconsciously to sabotage their own efforts.
2. When their “self-talk” has always been negative, doing something positive might cause them to question who they are.
3. They might think they can’t keep up the frantic pace once success has been achieved.
4. They don’t feel worthy of the praise.

Whether they fear failure or success, they still fear—and a primary symptom of fear is procrastination. A procrastinator will do everything possible to avoid taking action. That makes it impossible for a procrastinator to achieve success.

If fear is the root cause of procrastination, the purpose of procrastination is to avoid difficulty. When we work a plan, we usually discover along the way new problems and obstacles we haven’t anticipated. This is particularly true when we are doing something for the first time. Frequently, these challenges can be very difficult and may even threaten the success of an entire project. Unexpected difficulties are always bad news because timelines are impacted and there is ample opportunity for placing blame. Procrastinators like to say that it is not whether you win or lose, but how you place the blame that really counts. When blame is placed, tempers flare and even jobs may be on the line. A good procrastinator will do everything in their power to make sure nothing happens! In fact, their definition of planning is “the creative art of avoiding today what I have no intention of following through on tomorrow.” Don’t be a procrastinator. Do it NOW!
